Haishu District Children's Palace was formerly known as Zhenming District Children's Palace. Established in September 1979. It was converted from the original Ming Kai Street Primary School. Located in the city center, but covers an area of only 500m2. 1984, Haishu and Zhenming merged and renamed Haishu Children's Palace. 1autumn of 992, due to the old city reconstruction and demolition, temporarily moved to the original flagpole lane primary school (Cheqiao Street 165). With the care and support of the District Party Committee, the district government and the Education Commission, the basic facilities of this editing room were moved to the original Aijuyi school site in autumn 2000, covering an area of 6,700 square meters, with more than 50 teaching rooms, and equipped with small theaters, computer rooms, multi-function halls, piano rooms and other facilities, becoming a well-equipped children's palace. Editing this development history of more than 20 years, the Children's Palace has adapted to local conditions, given full play to people's personality factors, organized various competitions and activities, and carried out various trainings, serving more than 50 schools and 17000 students in its jurisdiction in a down-to-earth manner, and achieved brilliant results. 1990 was awarded the honorary title of advanced collective by the municipal government, and 1993 was awarded the advanced collective of youth cultural work in the whole province by the Communist Youth League Committee. The Children's Palace has become a training center for children, an activity center for primary and secondary school students, a counseling center for young people's scientific and technological activities, and a training center for counselors and small cadres. As far as training is concerned, our palace has not only skills classes such as art, dance, calligraphy, vocal music, instrumental music, computer, model airplane, but also knowledge of Cambridge English, innovative thinking, and small reporters. Yamaha electronic piano classroom was established in Ningbo. The first erhu performance group won the second prize of the provincial children's folk music competition and the first prize of the city. Won the second place in the provincial children's palace aviation model championship and the individual gold medal. Won the second prize of provincial children's dance performance, and won many firsts in various municipal competitions. And has hosted many public examinations, dances and Ningbo children's oil painting exhibitions. At the same time, the quality education of students has been strengthened. Often organize various educational activities and competitions. The activity spread to every primary and secondary school in Haishu District. Developing popular science education and scientific and technological activities is the advantage and characteristic of Children's Palace. Haishu District Children's Palace Science and Technology Counselors Association is located in the Children's Palace, forming a network of popular science activities. 1998 was awarded as the provincial excellent science and technology education association, and won the honorary title of district and municipal advanced association for many years. Recently, it has been designated as a youth education base by the Municipal Education Commission and the Association for Science and Technology. After the relocation of the Youth Palace in Haishu District, there has been a major breakthrough in hardware construction. A brand-new children's palace, standing at a new starting point, will give full play to its existing advantages and make greater contributions to quality education.
