Huainan Normal University is two colleges. Huainan Teachers College, referred to as "Huainan Teachers College" and "Shi Huai" for short, is located in Huainan City, Anhui Province, an important national energy city, and is a full-time undergraduate college in Anhui Province.

The school has successively won the honorary titles of "National Model School of Language Standardization", "Civilized Unit of Anhui Province", "Advanced Collective for Employment of Provincial College Graduates", "Demonstration Unit for Employment of Provincial College Graduates" and "Training Base for Social Work Professionals". The school was founded in 1958, then Huainan Normal University. 65438-0962 Huainan Teachers College was transformed into Huainan Middle School Teacher Training School. 1978, after the school resumed classes, it was officially called "Huainan Normal College Class of Anhui University". On July 9th 1983 Huainan Teachers College was officially approved. 65438-0989 Huainan Institute of Education signed an agreement with East China Normal University to hold undergraduate correspondence education. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Huainan Normal University, Huainan Education College and Huainan Normal University merged to form Huainan Normal University.
