What steps and how many years does it take to start basic pilot training and become a captain?
The pilot training arrangements of each company are different. As flight cadets sent by the company to the flight academy for training, they will have one year to study theory at first, and 22 specialized courses will be completed in six months, before they can be qualified to take private photos (private flight license), business photos (commercial aircraft driving license) and instrument grade exams. In the next six months, there will be four exams for each subject.

Students who passed these three exams began to fly the first trainer (single propeller, Cessna 172), and won a solo medal after completing the solo flight. Then I took the ICAO (International Civil Aviation English) Level 4 test, and then I started flying in the China Education Machine (twin propellers) and finished flying in the China Education Machine (jet plane, Xinzhou). This process will take a year.

Students who have completed the above subjects will return to the company to take the refit test and fly to Airbus A320 or Boeing 737. After the modification, congratulations to the students on becoming pilots.

If you have flown enough hours in the company and enough planes, you can apply for promotion to captain (each company requires different years). You can be promoted to the four bars by completing the corresponding exams. This process will take five to fifteen years.
