It is learned from the Beijing Funeral Management Office that Beijing has carried out relevant training and examinations, and it is estimated that 400 people will take the lead in obtaining certificates before the end of 2009.
Jiang Xiaogang, deputy director of the Beijing Funeral Management Office, said that there are more than 2,000 people engaged in funeral services in Beijing, including undertakers, body handlers, body embalmers, body plastic surgeons, body cremators and cemetery administrators. According to the "Qualification Conditions for Funeral Service Practitioners", funeral practitioners need to hold certificates in the future, and all kinds of staff have special professional abilities.
