Why was mountbatten named "Earl of mountbatten, Myanmar"?
In order to reward mountbatten's contribution during the whole war, especially his brilliant performance in commanding British and Indian troops to defeat the Japanese army in Myanmar, he was named "Earl of mountbatten, Myanmar". 1at the end of 946, mountbatten was appointed commander of the first cruiser of the British Mediterranean fleet.
