Uncovering the application conditions of special eight
Do you want to know the conditions for applying for TEM-8? Let's have a look.

Educational requirements

The entrance threshold of TEM-8 is relatively high, requiring candidates to be fourth-year English majors registered or approved by the Ministry of Education, or undergraduates who have completed four-year full-time study of English majors (the fourth academic year) or five-year full-time study of English majors (the fifth academic year).

Examination requirements

In addition to academic qualifications, TEM-8 also requires candidates to pass CET-6 for non-English majors. Candidates who take the TEM-8 exam only have one make-up exam. Candidates who fail to pass the CET-4 exam can also take the CET-8 exam, but they must meet the corresponding conditions.

Examination time

English majors should pay attention to the fact that those who exceed the prescribed examination period are not allowed to take the TEM-4 unified examination, but they can take the TEM-8 unified examination in the last semester of undergraduate study. Candidates who have not taken the CET-4 or CET-8 within the specified period of time may not take the next year's unified examination in the name of make-up examination.
