How many National Accounting Institutes are there?
There are three national accounting institutes.

1. Beijing National Accounting Institute: founded on 1998, located at No.9 Liyuan Street, Tianzhu Town, Shunyi District, Beijing. It is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Finance, initiated and promoted by Comrade Zhu Rongji. It is the first unit in China to carry out postgraduate education of Master of Accounting (MPAcc) and Master of Auditing (MAud).

2. Shanghai National Accounting Institute: Founded in 2000, it is located at No.200 Panlong Road, Xujing Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai. It is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Finance. Under the dual leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, it provides master's degree education, senior management training and distance education.

3. Xiamen National Accounting Institute: Founded in 2002, it is located in the south section of Huandao Road in Xiamen. It is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Finance, providing full-time and part-time MPAcc education.

4. National Accounting Institute is a special type of higher education institution established in China to train high-level financial accounting talents. Such colleges are often approved by the State Council and affiliated to the Ministry of Finance or other central government departments. It aims to train senior professionals in accounting, auditing and taxation for national macroeconomic management departments, large and medium-sized enterprises and social intermediary institutions.
