Working principle of natural gas engine
The main component of natural gas is methane, which is a kind of gas fuel. Can be fully mixed with air, and can promote the natural gas engine to generate kinetic energy. There is basically no particulate matter emission after combustion, and there is little CO produced after combustion.

Attachment: Classification of natural gas engines:

1. Ignition type:

The working principle of an ignition natural gas engine is similar to that of a gasoline engine. The spark plug ignites the natural gas mixture. Its air supply mode is divided into air inlet air supply and direct air supply in combustion chamber. The air inlet can be divided into single-point air supply and multi-point air supply. Multi-point supply device supplies natural gas at the intake of each cylinder, and single-point supply device supplies natural gas at the intake manifold.

2, heterogeneous compression ignition type:

The fuel supply mode of compression ignition natural gas engine is to inject high-pressure natural gas directly into the cylinder and realize diffusion combustion by spontaneous combustion before compression top dead center. Direct injection natural gas engines generally need combustion-supporting measures, and are often used as glow plug auxiliary ignition. Natural gas engines with intake air supply generally have the disadvantage of poor performance under small load.

3. Dual fuel:

Most of these engines are modified from diesel engines, which will retain all the devices and functions of the original diesel engines in form. On this basis, the gas supply device can also be used as a dual fuel of natural gas and diesel.
