Beijing Foreign Studies University, directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), is the first batch of "2 1 1 Project" in China, and was selected as "985 Innovation Platform of Engineering Superiority Discipline" and "201/Plan". It is one of the six "small-scale pilot universities" of the Ministry of Finance and the first batch of "double-class" in the world. The dominant languages are German, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Spanish.
2. Shanghai International Studies University
Shanghai International Studies University is the first foreign language college established after the founding of New China and one of the birthplaces of foreign language education in New China. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and co-founded with the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is one of the first national "2 1 1 engineering" and "double-class" world-class disciplines. The dominant languages are Greek, Spanish, Italian, Swedish and Dutch.
3. Dalian International Studies University
Dalian Foreign Studies University is a provincial university in Liaoning Province and the only public foreign studies university in Northeast China. Under the kind care of Premier Zhou Enlai, the school was established in 1964. Over the past 50 years, it has been built into a foreign language university with foreign languages as the mainstay, internationalization as the feature, literature, economics, management, engineering, law and art as the support and coordination, and the leading languages are Korean and Japanese.
4. Guangdong University of Foreign Studies
Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is a key university in Guangdong Province with distinctive international characteristics. The school has been selected into "20 1 1 Plan", "Demonstration Base for Studying in China by the Ministry of Education" and "Collective Action Plan for Exchange of Asian University Students" (Asian Campus Plan). It is one of the 19 universities in the world that provide high-end translators for the United Nations, one of the founding units of the national discipline of international economy and trade, and a member of the International Federation of University Translation Colleges. It is also the training of international talents and foreign language culture in South China. The dominant languages are Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean and French.
5. Beijing Foreign Studies University
Beijing Foreign Studies University is a national key university built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Tourism Administration and the Beijing Municipal Government. It is one of the first universities in China to award bachelor's and master's degrees, one of the most famous foreign language universities in China, and the highest institution in China's tourism industry. It was personally created by Premier Zhou Enlai at 1964.
6.Xi International Studies University
Xi International Studies University is one of the four earliest foreign language colleges established in New China. It is a high-level key construction university in Shaanxi Province and a doctoral degree awarding unit. It is a multidisciplinary foreign language university with foreign language education and humanities as the main body and social science and management science developing in harmony.
7. Tianjin Foreign Studies University
Tianjin Foreign Studies University is a multilingual, multidisciplinary, multi-level and open institution of higher learning, and it is also one of the eight independent foreign language colleges in China.
