Changde, located in the northwest of Hunan Province, is known as "the throat of Guizhou and the gateway to Yunnan and Guizhou". It is an important transportation hub, energy base, political and cultural center in northwest Hunan, and also the link and center of the Three Gorges-Dongting Lake and Nanyue Hengshan-Zhangjiajie Golden Tourism Corridor.
