What is the difference between a baker and a pastry chef? This paper will analyze from two aspects: production content and grade.

Different production contents

The baker makes Chinese and western cakes and snacks. Western pastry chefs make Hong Kong-style and European-style pastry cakes, patas, cheese desserts, Korean fruit decorative cakes, Japanese mousse ice cream cakes, and high-end hotel banquets such as cookies, biscuits, cakes, puffs, egg tarts, pizzas, chocolates and tiramisu, which are well received by western pastry products.

Different grades

Baker is divided into six grades: junior worker, intermediate worker, senior worker, technician, senior technician and technical expert. West Point teachers are divided into: junior (national vocational qualification level 5), intermediate (national vocational qualification level 4), advanced (national vocational qualification level 3), technician (national vocational qualification level 2) and senior technician (national vocational qualification level 1).
