CFP is the abbreviation of international financial planner, and it is the qualification certification of global financial management industry. CFP series qualification certification system consists of education, examination, experience and morality, namely "4E" certification standard. People who meet the "4E" standard can obtain CFP certificate issued by the International Financial Standards Committee.

In China, China Financial Planning Standards Committee of International Financial Planner (CFP) implements two-level financial planner certification system, namely, financial planner (AFP) and international financial planner (CFP) certification system. AFP training is the first stage of CFP training.

Applicants can only take the CFP exam and certification after obtaining AFP certification.

In practice, CFP also refers to professionals who follow the six steps of financial management standard process to help customers achieve their life goals.
