South Korea's most famous cultural exports seem to be Korean dramas and youth idols, but I think the most commendable thing is Korean movies, which are completely different from Korean dramas. Different from the mindless romantic atmosphere created by Korean dramas, Korean movies reflect social problems more and are most keen on satirizing the Korean government, haha. In fact, Korean movies have a wide range of themes, but suspense, crime and action movies are the main types, and these types are also the most prominent in Korean movies.
Let me talk about my favorite director, Luo Hongzhen. His famous films include The Chaser, The Yellow Sea and The Recent Scream. With these films, he has won the Best Art Award in Korea, the Bell Award in Korea and the Best Director in the 5th Asian Film Awards. "Crying" was shortlisted for Cannes Film Festival. All three are suspense thrillers, and the viewing experience is very good, and the plot is compact, smooth and exciting. Among them, The Starting Point of the Yellow Sea is also worth mentioning, which reflects the life of Yanbian Korean people in the cracks. As a genre film, Crying has its own characteristics and many metaphors, which expresses the director's many thoughts on religion and humanity without sacrificing the viewing experience.

Another director worthy of recommendation is Park Chan-wook. He is famous for his revenge trilogy, namely I Want Revenge, old boys and Good Gold. His romantic film "Love of Robots" won the Friedberg Prize at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival. The latest work "Miss" is also his favorite revenge theme, and it is worth seeing with gay color.

Bong Joon ho's memories of murder, Mother, Hanjiang Monster and Snow Country Train are also excellent works. In addition, there are many wonderful and ironic Korean movies such as Living Horror, Su Yuan, Tunnel and Furnace, so I won't say much here. It is worth mentioning the actor Ha Jung Woo, who starred in many of the above films. He is really an excellent actor, who can control many types of characters, such as mental patients, war heroes, street villains and so on. He directed the film Xu Sanguan himself (yes, adapted from the novel Xu Sanguan Selling Blood). Although he is not as good as him as an actor, this work is also worth seeing. It is very interesting and sensational.
