(A) Teaching content
1. This lesson is Unit 2 Hero Lesson 65438 +0 The first lesson of modern heroes. This unit introduces national heroes, historical figures, sports stars and superheroes respectively. The themes of these articles are all heroes, but the fields involved are different and integrated.
This lesson is an introduction to national heroes, which is a topic that students are familiar with and interested in. The first part needs to introduce Yang Liwei and Shenzhou 5, so that students can master relevant vocabulary. The second part introduces Yang Liwei's space travel by Shenzhou 5 spacecraft.
There are many attributive clauses and many new words in this text (some of which are not in the vocabulary and have not been learned in junior high school). Under such a difficult premise, I guide students to enrich their knowledge through cultural and background knowledge, and combine the contents of textbooks to broaden students' understanding of space knowledge, so that students can understand the road to success of space heroes and inspire their national pride.

The age of senior one students in vocational high school is between 14- 16. Most of them have poor academic performance because of their poor knowledge base, lack of initiative in learning, poor self-study ability, lack of inquiry and guidance in learning and lack of good English learning habits.

Students in vocational high schools have weak basic knowledge, even can't read phonetic symbols, and their vocabulary is narrow, which affects reading, listening and composition. Students' expressive ability is still at a relatively low level, and they can only say one or two sentences to each picture or topic. Moreover, in reading, they failed to master the skills and methods of extensive reading and intensive reading, and their ability to preview and review after class was poor, and they lacked the ability to summarize.

Although students' knowledge and skills are average, after a certain period of training, they have mastered the reading skills of pairing, grouping and using cultural and background knowledge.

Through further reading, students can interview their national heroes in English. Try to retell the text.

The first step is to import.

Shenzhou 5 is the first manned spaceship in China. It was launched in Jiuquan, Gansu Province at 9: 00 am on October 6th, 2003/KLOC-0. It carries Yang Liwei. The launch was very successful and landed safely in Inner Mongolia.
Yang Liwei is the first astronaut in China. He is a pilot in the army. He was selected from 1 0,500 other army pilots and began training for his space flight in 1998. In the space flight of 2 1 hour, he circled the earth 14 times. When the spacecraft completed the seventh lap, Yang Liwei displayed the flags of China and the United Nations, expressing the desire of the people of China to explore and use space peacefully.
When introducing the article, show the new words in the article, let the students guess the meaning, read and consolidate.

Present six titles for students to read quickly and summarize the theme of each paragraph.

Step 5: Language use
In order to improve students' ability to express their opinions on hot issues in life, students can use their language knowledge to conduct simulated interviews with their national heroes. Divide the class into several groups. One student in each group plays "Yang Liwei", and the other students are journalists from news media all over the country.
