Children's Art: Seven Points for Attention in Children's Sketch
1. Don't just be quick and handsome.

Sketch in painting means to describe objects quickly. The external expression of sketch has the characteristics of generalization, vividness, liveliness and fluency, but its connotation is also very rich. On the surface, sketching is a bit "simple", but it cannot be equated with scribbling. Compared with long-term sketching, sketching is more "subtraction" and requires a high degree of generalization of objects. Beginners should learn to write articles and work hard on simplicity. If you simply want to be fast and handsome, the result will only be haste makes waste. It is reasonable and scientific to start with "writing slowly" and step by step.

2. Pay attention to the characteristics of tools and materials.

Pen and paper are the main tools for sketching. Pens are divided into soft pens and hard pens. Hard pens include: pencils, charcoal pens, pens and new nylon absorbent pens; Soft pens include: writing brush, felt-tip pen, etc. There are differences in paper thickness, color depth, texture thickness and water absorption. Different pens will produce different effects when used on different papers, and hard pens are suitable for thicker papers.

Zhang, soft pen is suitable for thinner paper. Carbon pencils can clearly show the texture of thickness on paper with different lines. Beginners should gradually become familiar with and master the characteristics of these tools and materials, and properly express objects and images. Brushes and pens are technically difficult. At first, you can do more sketching exercises with pencils or charcoal pens.

Don't draw anything you see.

Sketch has a wide range of manifestations, involving people (human bodies, portraits), animals (birds, animals), landscapes, buildings, scenes, furnishings, flowers, various tools and appliances, and so on. All kinds of sketches have unique performance rules, and the technical difficulty varies greatly. Easy to draw small and quiet movements; It is difficult to draw things with big movements and fast speed. In particular, you need a strong memory (dictation) ability to draw beautiful movements that are fleeting in an instant, which can only be obtained through long-term tempering. In the beginner's stage, according to the principle of static before moving, you can draw some relatively static and small-moving objects first, and grasp the familiar objects to practice tirelessly according to your surrounding environmental conditions, and gradually expand the performance field.

4. Choose an appropriate expression.

We usually refer to monochrome sketches. Some sketches are mainly lines; Some are mainly block surfaces (light and shade); Others use a combination of lines and surfaces. They show that objects have their own strengths, such as drawing dynamics (movement, dance) with smooth lines; Sketch characters by combining light and shade or line and surface. There is no question of who comes first. But there are two points to pay attention to, one is suitable for expressing the actual situation of the object, and the other is suitable for your own appreciation habits.

5. Fully understand the role of sketch.

For a long time, sketch has been regarded as a means of basic skills training in art teaching; Used to collect data and materials in artistic creation. In addition, sketch can also exist as an independent art form, and its artistic value can not be ignored. Sketch for different purposes has different forms and techniques. For example, for collecting creative materials.

Sketch can describe the specific content carefully and accurately, while other sketches pay attention to the expression of form. A comprehensive understanding of the role of sketch is helpful to determine the focus of learning and improve the appreciation and taste of works.
