Chess is a kind of intellectual gymnastics, and it is an elegant sport integrating competition, art and science. Since 1987, our school has carried out chess education activities and embarked on a characteristic road of "chess prospering the school and educating people". The school listed chess as a school-based curriculum and explored a three-level cycle (that is, "universal education, layered training and steady improvement") to learn chess. Through popularizing activities, educating people with chess, developing intelligence and cultivating ability, and promoting the harmonious development of students. "Everyone knows chess, everyone knows chess" has become a major feature of the school. Through improving training, training athletes and participating in competitions at all levels, remarkable achievements have been made. He won the national chess team championship for three times and the Jinan team championship for eight years in a row. 18 players won the first and second place in the national children's competition, more than 50 people entered the top eight in the national competition, and nearly 200 people won prizes in provincial and municipal competitions, and were rated as "traditional chess houses" in the country. The school also integrated the chess culture into the construction of campus environment, creating a relatively strong chess culture atmosphere.
