Sofia Coppola's new film Marie Antoinette, based on Antonia Fraser's book, tells the legendary life of an absolutely beautiful woman, French Queen Marie Antoinette. Although she was born in the Austrian royal family and was the queen of France, she was one of the most criticized, misunderstood and reviled women in history.

Marie Antoinette, daughter of Austrian emperor Francis I, entered the Palace of Versailles in France at the age of 14, and became the queen of French king Louis XVI at the age of 19. The film shows the decadence, extravagance and conspiracy of Versailles before the French Revolution. The profligate and bohemian Queen Mary caused France to be heavily in debt in the 1970s and 1980s, which eventually led to the outbreak of the French Revolution and the overthrow of the monarchy. Queen Mary herself was guillotined in June 1793.
