Guangdong Communications Vocational and Technical College is affiliated to the Guangdong Provincial Communications Department, and its teaching is guided by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and the Ministry of Education. It is the main base for training advanced transportation technology and management talents in Guangdong Province, and one of the first batch of provincial-level re-employment training designated institutions in Guangdong Province.

The college has made great achievements in talent training and won high recognition from all walks of life. In 2002, it was awarded the honorary title of "National Advanced Vocational Education Unit" jointly by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the State Economic and Trade Commission. In 2004, he obtained excellent results in the evaluation of talent training in higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education.

The college has three campuses, namely, South Campus, North Campus and East Campus. The South Campus and the East Campus under construction are located in Guangzhou Tianhe Cultural Campus, and are adjacent to famous schools such as South China University of Technology and South China Agricultural University with beautiful scenery in the east, with convenient transportation and elegant environment. The north campus is located in Huadu District, Guangzhou, and is connected with the south campus by expressway, which is convenient for communication.
