The College of Continuing Education of Gannan Medical College is the institution of adult education, continuing education teaching and research and student management in our school. 1958, our school founded Night University and began to hold adult education. In the mid-1980s, full-time training courses were held to carry out medical education and training. 1993 set up the adult education department (co-located with the academic affairs office) to resume the enrollment of adult higher education. In order to strengthen the leadership of adult education, further develop adult education and improve the quality of running schools, the school decided to formally establish the continuing education department at the end of 1998. In 2002 1 month, the College of Continuing Education was established. In the past ten years, the college has trained nearly 8000 professional and technical personnel for the society. In September 2006, the Vocational and Technical College of Gannan Medical College was established and co-located with the College of Continuing Education to manage the vocational and technical education of the school in a unified way. The college is now the distance education learning center of Zhengzhou University. Approved by Jiangxi Provincial Health Department and Jiangxi Provincial Self-taught Examination Committee, the College is a theoretical training base for general practitioners' on-the-job training and a self-taught examination examiner school for nursing majors in the whole province. Approved by Ganzhou Municipal Health Bureau and Ganzhou Municipal Bureau of Labor and Employment respectively, it is the training base for health management cadres and the re-employment training base of the whole city.

Under the correct leadership of the school party committee and administration, relying on excellent school-running conditions and strong school-running strength, after years of reform and development, the College of Continuing Education has built a multi-level, multi-form and multi-disciplinary school-running system, and initially formed an open education in which academic education (amateur, full-time, correspondence), self-study exams and non-academic education promote each other, develop together, combine arts and sciences, combine urban and rural areas, and combine inside and outside the province. At present, there are 7 undergraduate majors and 9 specialties registered by Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. At present, there are seven undergraduate majors in clinical medicine, nursing, public health management, pharmacy, preventive medicine, rehabilitation medicine and applied psychology, and seven majors in clinical medicine, nursing, pharmacy, stomatology, medical imaging technology, medical laboratory technology and public health. Some majors have three levels of running schools (advanced undergraduate, junior college and Gundam College) and three forms of running schools (full-time, amateur and correspondence), which better meet the needs of society. The college has 3500 students registered for adult education. The College has set up correspondence stations and teaching points in Nanchang, Xinyu, Ji 'an, Shangrao, Pingxiang, Nanhai, Guangdong and Liuyang, Hunan.

While running adult higher education well, the college actively carries out non-academic continuing medical education and vocational skills training in accordance with the school's training objectives (training applied senior professionals to meet the needs of economic and social development, especially the development of medical and health undertakings) and service orientation (based in Jiangxi, radiating the surrounding areas, facing the whole country and serving the grassroots). In recent years, theoretical training courses for general practitioners in Jiangxi Province, theoretical training courses for community nurses in Jiangxi Province, monthly training courses and training courses for health management cadres in Ganzhou City have been held successively, with nearly 2,000 trainees of all kinds.

Adhering to the policy of "survival by quality, development by benefit", the college has strengthened teaching management and deepened teaching reform, and achieved remarkable results. The management system of adult education has been established and improved from the aspects of student management, teaching management and correspondence station management, and the teaching work has gradually embarked on an institutionalized, standardized and scientific track. In order to adapt to the characteristics of adult education and cultivate applied talents, we should deepen the reform of teaching mode and teaching content, implement the reform of four-level teaching mode from "self-study-face-to-face-to-face-to-face-to-examination" and implement special teaching. Pay attention to teaching quality monitoring, strengthen process management and quality management, strictly test and assess students, and improve teaching quality and teaching level. In recent years, school teachers have served as the editor-in-chief and deputy editor-in-chief of national adult education planning textbooks, and graduates are generally welcomed and praised by employers. In 2004, the College was awarded "Advanced Collective of Electronic Registration Management of Higher Education Certificates in Jiangxi Province" by Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education.
