General situation of Guiyang Railway Engineering School:
Guiyang Railway Engineering School (Guizhou Railway Technician College) was established with the approval of the former Ministry of Railways in the early 1980s. With a long history, it is the only national-level senior technical school in the "railway industry" in Guizhou Province, with distinctive school-running characteristics. It is a national high-skilled personnel training base, a demonstration secondary vocational school in Guizhou Province, a provincial high-skilled personnel training base, a provincial construction special operation training institution and a provincial retired soldier skills training institution.
The college has two campuses. Heshangpo Campus is located next to Beijing West Road in Guiyang with convenient transportation, covering an area of 2 1 0,420m2 and a building area of 25 1 0,444m2. 2065438+In March 2008, Zhazuo Campus was established in cooperation with Guizhou Forestry School, covering an area of 360 mu, and the teaching room occupied 59,400 square meters. There are currently 194 faculty members in the college, including 1 13 with bachelor degree or above, including 56 teachers with intermediate titles or above and 58 teachers with senior work or above.
The college focuses on railway construction and urban rail transit construction, and offers four majors 14, namely railway engineering, engineering survey, material management, civil engineering inspection, construction, electrified railway power supply, urban rail transit transportation and management, operation and maintenance of construction machinery, numerical control processing, welding processing and installation and maintenance of electrical automation equipment.

The college has successively built two national-level integration demonstration majors and five provincial-level integration demonstration majors. The specialty setting of the college adapts to the national and Guizhou economic development planning, and trains skilled talents for civil engineering construction projects such as railways, urban rail transit, highways, water conservancy and equipment manufacturing enterprises.
The school pays attention to the construction of employment bases, and each major has more than five corresponding employment bases to ensure the employment quality of students. At present, the college has established school-enterprise cooperation with nearly 60 enterprises involved in engineering construction, surveying and mapping, equipment manufacturing and other fields, and the employment channels for students are broad.
