The "Special Ability Training Program for Peripheral Vascular Intervention and Minimally Invasive Tumor Intervention" sponsored by the Center for Capacity Building and Continuing Education of the National Health and Family Planning Commission was recently launched in Beijing.

Wei Xiaogang, director of the operation department of the Information Project Office of the Center for Capacity Building and Continuing Education of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, said that with the rapid development of image guidance equipment and treatment methods, minimally invasive interventional department has become the third largest clinical department in clinical treatment alongside surgery and internal medicine. Minimally invasive tumor intervention and peripheral vascular intervention have become the choice of more and more doctors and patients because of their accuracy, targeting and minimally invasive characteristics. Due to the rapid development of interventional therapy, the regional development of minimally invasive interventional therapy is unbalanced, and the technology needs to be standardized urgently. In view of this situation, the Center for Capacity Building and Continuing Education of the National Health and Family Planning Commission has carried out a special intervention ability training program, which is based on improving the service ability of minimally invasive intervention in clinical diagnosis and treatment in primary medical institutions, and finally effectively promotes graded diagnosis and treatment.

Zou, vice president of Interventional Physician Branch of China Medical College, said that Peking University No.1 Hospital, as the leading unit of standardized training program for interventional specialists and the standardized training base for Beijing specialists, has rich experience in interventional continuing education. In recent years, hundreds of intervention professionals have been trained in different parts of the country by holding national intervention continuing education classes. We hope to provide technical support for the implementation of convenient diagnosis and treatment at the grass-roots level by building a national-level video resource library of interventional classic surgery, build post competency standards for interventional minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment practitioners, and carry out relevant training.
