Zhangjiagang has a long history. Before Majiabin Culture in the Neolithic Age, there were human activities in the southern region, and merchants did not belong to the land of hook Wu. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it belonged to Yanling County of Wu State; Qin dynasty, belonging to Huiji County; Jin Dynasty, located in Jiyang County. Liang Dynasty, located in Liangfeng County. After Sui and Tang Dynasties, it belonged to Changshu and Jiangyin counties, and from Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, Nantong County belonged to the north of Changtong Port. Zhangjiagang City is located in Jiangsu Province, the "golden waterway" of China, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, at the intersection of the two major economic belts along the Yangtze River and along the coast of China.
