The Education Department of Jiangsu Province issued the Opinions on Further Strengthening and Perfecting the Individual Enrollment of Ordinary Colleges and Universities, which clearly stated that graduates of secondary vocational schools in 2008 (including some junior high school graduates enrolled in ordinary secondary schools, vocational secondary schools, vocational high schools, television secondary schools, technical schools and adult secondary schools) who meet the basic conditions for enrollment of ordinary colleges and universities this year can take the individual enrollment examination of ordinary colleges and universities upon the recommendation of their schools. Secondary vocational schools recommend candidates to take the exam according to the comprehensive quality evaluation results of graduates, and post them on campus. Candidates fill in the volunteers of an undergraduate college and two junior colleges respectively, and whether they obey the volunteers.
The corresponding entrance examination subjects in colleges and universities are professional skills, professional comprehensive theory and Chinese, mathematics and English. First, take the professional skills test, and then test the professional comprehensive theory and cultural basic courses at the same time. The weight ratio of professional skills, professional comprehensive theory and cultural basic courses is 3:3:4, and the scores of each subject are: professional skills 300 points, professional comprehensive theory 300 points, Chinese 150 points, mathematics 150 points, English 100 points and full marks1. There is no comprehensive theoretical examination for art majors, with a full score of 700. The examination time of professional skills in the province is April 12- 13. The list of people who take the professional comprehensive theory and cultural basic course examination is generally determined according to 85% of the number of people who take the professional skill examination.
Candidates who participated in the professional skills competition organized by the administrative department of education at school, the top 20 winners of the national competition or the second prize and above, and the winners of the provincial competition 10 or the first prize can be admitted to the enrollment institutions without examination, and the top 3 winners of the national competition 10 and the provincial competition can be admitted to the undergraduate major without examination. Candidates who participated in the professional skills competition organized by the administrative department of education, the winners of the third prize of the national competition and the second prize of the provincial competition, scored 50 points when enrolling students. Winners of the third prize or above in the innovation competition organized by the provincial education administrative department and the third prize winner in the professional skills competition can be given priority.

What is striking is that there have been great changes in the counterpart single-recruit examination in ordinary colleges and universities.
Hu Jinbo, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Education, said that in 2008, in order to further develop the evaluation, encouragement and guidance functions of the counterpart single-recruit examination, our province carried out major reforms. Its main contents are as follows:
First, strengthen professional skills.
Change the skills examination undertaken by cities in the past into a unified skills examination in the whole province; Select students with excellent skills to take the follow-up professional comprehensive theory and cultural basic course exams; Increase the score weight of skill test.
The second is to strengthen the autonomy of college enrollment. Enrollment institutions participate in the whole process of counterpart single recruitment, and formulate professional skills examination standards and professional comprehensive theory examination outlines; Participate in the specific organization of the examination, be responsible for the implementation of the professional skill examination, and participate in the proposition and evaluation of the professional theoretical examination and cultural basic courses; Admissions institutions can enroll the winners of the national skills competition without examination or give priority to them.
Third, give full play to the role of vocational education groups. At present, 10 provincial vocational education group is the main body in our province, and the 16 joint examination steering committee has been established to take the lead in formulating examination standards and examination outlines and organizing professional skills examinations.
The fourth is to highlight the main position of public vocational colleges. Except for a few private colleges, the counterpart separate enrollment plan is mainly arranged in public vocational colleges.
The fifth is to strengthen the connection of talent training in secondary and higher vocational colleges. Admissions institutions will change the past practice of enrolling students alone and training and evaluating with other students, and make teaching plans, organize and implement teaching and evaluate teaching independently.
It is understood that colleges and universities in our province have enrolled students independently over the years, actively explored the talent training mode of "seamless connection" between secondary vocational education and higher education, and trained10.5 million applied and highly skilled talents for the economic and social development of the province, which has been widely recognized and welcomed by all walks of life.
In 2008, we will continue to arrange 18000 students to enroll in colleges and universities in the province, including 2600 undergraduate students. Graduates of secondary vocational schools in 2008 who meet the basic requirements for enrollment in ordinary colleges and universities may take the corresponding separate enrollment examination in ordinary colleges and universities upon recommendation of their schools. The scores of all subjects in the examination are: 300 points for professional skills, 300 points for professional comprehensive theory, 0/50 points for Chinese, 0/50 points for mathematics, 0/00 points for English, and 0/000 points for full marks. There is no comprehensive theoretical examination for art majors, with a full score of 700.
