There are many training subjects for the frontier armed police, including queuing, capturing the enemy, climbing, steeplechase, five-kilometer cross-country, tactics, equipment, military swimming, Sanda, live-fire shooting and night shooting.

The Chinese People's Armed Police Force was established in June 1982 (the former China People's Public Security Central Column was established in August 1949).
