What are the organizations of the State Administration of Quality Supervision?
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) is directly affiliated to People's Republic of China (PRC) and the State Council. It is in charge of national quality, metrology, entry-exit commodity inspection, entry-exit health quarantine, entry-exit animal and plant quarantine, import and export food safety, certification and accreditation, standardization and other work, and exercises administrative law enforcement functions.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has 19 divisions (departments and bureaus), namely; General Office, Regulation Department, Quality Management Department, Metrology Department, Customs Clearance Department, Health Quarantine Supervision Department, Animal and Plant Quarantine Supervision Department, Inspection Supervision Department, Import and Export Food Safety Bureau, Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau, Product Quality Supervision Department, Food Production Supervision Department, Law Enforcement Supervision Department (Anti-counterfeiting Office of AQSIQ), International Cooperation Department (WTO Office), Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Personnel, Planning and Finance Department, Party Committee, Bureau of Retired Cadres. In addition, China's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Ministry of Supervision have sent discipline inspection teams and supervision bureaus to the AQSIQ.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine administers China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (hereinafter referred to as CNCA) and China National Standardization Administration (hereinafter referred to as National Standards Committee). The National Certification and Accreditation Administration Committee (deputy ministerial level) is the competent department authorized by the State Council to perform administrative functions, manage, supervise and comprehensively coordinate the national certification and accreditation work. The National Standards Committee (deputy ministerial level) is the competent department authorized by the State Council to perform administrative functions and uniformly manage the national standardization work.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has 15 directly affiliated institutions, namely: agency service center, information center, research center of international inspection and quarantine standards and technical regulations, China Fiber Inspection Bureau, China Academy of Inspection and Quarantine, China National Standardization Institute, China Institute of Metrology, China Quality Certification Center, China National Accreditation Center for Conformity Assessment, China Special Equipment Testing and Research Center, Human Resources Development and Training Center, China Quality Newspaper, China Guomen Times Newspaper, China.

People's Republic of China (PRC)'s WTO/TBT National Notification Consultation Center and People's Republic of China (PRC)'s WTO/SPS National Notification Consultation Center are located in AQSIQ.

With the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, 10 trade associations are affiliated to AQSIQ, namely China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association, China International Travel Health Care Association, China Quality Inspection Association, China Metrology Association, China Certification and Accreditation Association, China Standardization Association, China Metrology Association, China Anti-counterfeiting Industry Association, china plant engineering Consulting Association and China Quality Miles Promotion Association.

In order to perform the entry-exit inspection and quarantine functions, AQSIQ has set up 35 entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureaus directly under * * in 3/kloc-0 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), and set up nearly 300 branches and more than 200 offices at sea, land and air ports and cargo distribution centers, with more than 30,000 inspection and quarantine personnel. AQSIQ shall exercise vertical management over entry-exit inspection and quarantine institutions.

In order to perform the duties of quality and technical supervision, there are 3/kloc-0 quality and technical supervision bureaus in all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government), more than 2,800 administrative departments and more than 6,543,800+0.8 million quality and technical supervisors. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine shall exercise professional leadership over the quality and technical supervision institutions of all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government).
