Yikang Medical and Huada are well-known medical education institutions in China, each with its own characteristics. Huaqiao University, referred to as Huada for short, is located in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, directly under the leadership of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, and is a subordinate university personally approved by Premier Zhou Enlai.
