Ozone is a light blue gas at room temperature and has a special smell. Ozone is widely used for disinfection of air-conditioning systems in pharmaceutical factories because of its easy availability, relatively low corrosiveness to contact substances, natural degradation to oxygen and little harm to people. But ozone is a strong oxidant and extremely unstable. It will decompose itself into oxygen at room temperature and will also decompose during air conditioning pipeline transportation. When it arrives indoors, it often fails to reach the disinfection concentration.

Sporicide is a colorless and odorless liquid, and its active ingredients are hydrogen peroxide and silver stabilizer. It is mainly used for disinfection and sterilization of clean room surfaces and equipment, which can be achieved by wiping clean room surfaces and equipment surfaces, and is not suitable for circulating sterilization of air conditioning systems.

Formaldehyde (CH2O) is a colorless gas with a special pungent smell, which will irritate people's eyes and nose. Formaldehyde is adopted by some pharmaceutical companies because of its good bactericidal effect, non-corrosive to the substances in contact and low price. However, due to the carcinogenicity of formaldehyde, it is difficult to completely remove it. Formaldehyde is crystallized in the high-efficiency filter after condensation, and the inevitable air leakage in the air duct makes it difficult to completely remove the formaldehyde in the workshop interlayer, and there is a risk of secondary pollution.

Compared with formaldehyde, the disinfection residue of vaporized hydrogen peroxide can be naturally degraded into water and oxygen, which is harmless to people and has good compatibility with stainless steel metal materials. At present, it has been accepted by some domestic pharmaceutical companies and gradually promoted. Moreover, the low concentration of gaseous hydrogen peroxide has higher sporicidal ability than liquid hydrogen peroxide, and its main principle is to generate free hydroxyl groups by vaporization, which can be used to attack cell components, including lipids, protein and DNA.
