History of Xue Jian

School of Economics of Liaoning University was founded in 1984, formerly known as School of Economics and Management of Liaoning University (inscribed by Comrade Chen Yun), and it is one of the earlier schools of economics and management in China. Its predecessor can be traced back to Dongbei University of Finance and Economics founded by 1952 and renamed in 2000.

After nearly 40 years of construction and development, Liaoning University has become one of the colleges with the most comprehensive school level, the largest number of students, the largest number of key disciplines, the strongest faculty and outstanding scientific research achievements. On 20 17 and 2022, the discipline of applied economics of Liaoning University was selected into two rounds of national "double-first-class" construction disciplines. It is the only university in Liaoning Province and the only economic discipline in Northeast China, and the School of Economics is one of the main construction units.

Professor Song Zexing, Professor Peng Qingyuan and Professor Wang, the famous economists in China, are the main leaders of the Economics Department of Liaoning University, the predecessor of our college. Professor Wang Wenyuan, Vice Chairman of the Ninth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, served as the first dean of the College. Professor Feng Yuzhong, former president of Liaoning University, Professor Zhang Jinsheng, founder of ethnic economics major in our college, Professor Wang Chunshan, former director of Liaoning Provincial Education Commission, and Professor Lu Hongde have successively taught and served in our college.
