People's jurors refer to persons who are produced according to legal procedures and participate in the trial activities of collegiate panels on behalf of the people in the people's courts. They are an important embodiment of people's participation in state management, exercise of judicial power and supervision of trial work. People's jurors are relatively fixed, mainly recommended by the grassroots, reviewed by the court and appointed by the National People's Congress, with a term of five years.
The conditions are as follows:
1, support the constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC);
2. At least 28 years old;
3. Good conduct, fairness and decency;
4. Good health.
The training of people's jurors is divided into pre-job training and special training for trial business during their tenure. The newly appointed people's jurors shall be trained in the knowledge and skills of trial business necessary for performing their duties before taking up their posts. Including the duties and rights of judges, judges' professional ethics, trial discipline, judicial etiquette, basic legal knowledge and basic procedural rules. During their term of office, people's jurors shall receive special trial training according to the actual needs of jurors' work. It is mainly to master the admissibility of evidence, identify facts, apply the general rules of law and learn new laws and regulations.

Article 6 The following persons shall not serve as people's jurors:
(1) Members of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress, and staff of the supervisory committee, people's courts, people's procuratorates, public security organs, state security organs and judicial administrative organs;
(2) Lawyers, notaries, arbitrators and grassroots legal service workers;
(3) Other persons who are not suitable to serve as people's jurors due to their positions. Article 7 No one may serve as a people's juror under any of the following circumstances:
(1) Having received criminal punishment;
(2) Being expelled from public office;
(3) The practicing certificates of lawyers and notaries have been revoked;
(4) Being included in the list of untrustworthy persons;
(5) Being removed from the post of people's juror due to punishment;
(six) other serious violations of law that may affect the credibility of the judiciary.
