Laizhou Senior Vocational School is the first batch of national key vocational schools and a national model school supported by special funds from the central, provincial and municipal governments. It is an excellent experimental demonstration school, a key project of the Ministry of Education, a training base of Shandong Vocational Education Teacher Training Center, a demonstration school of education and scientific research in Shandong Province, a demonstration school of secondary vocational education and teaching in Shandong Province, a research base of vocational education and adult education in Shandong Province, an advanced school of employment service for secondary vocational graduates in Shandong Province, an art teaching center school in Yantai City and an electromechanical teaching center school in Yantai City. Laizhou is the only central school of computer grade examination and national English grade examination in China. In 2006, our school took the lead in establishing Yantai CNC Technology Vocational Education Group, and the majors of CNC, electromechanical, fine arts, architecture and accounting were identified as the backbone demonstration majors in Shandong Province by the Provincial Department of Education.
