Vivo successfully completed the 5GRedCap technology test, based on the self-developed terminal experimental prototype, which means that the technical strength of vivo in the 5G field has been further improved. RedCap is a new technical standard specially formulated by 3GPP in 5GR 17 stage. It is a lightweight 5G cellular Internet of Things technology. By streamlining equipment capacity and reducing equipment complexity, the purposes of saving cost, reducing volume, reducing power consumption and prolonging service life can be achieved.

Based on the experimental prototype of the self-developed terminal, Vivo successfully conducted joint debugging and testing with CITIC Mobile's 5G commercial base station, and the technical verification followed the NRRedCap Technical Test Specification for R&D and Testing of 5G Enhancement Technology formulated by the 5G Test Working Group of IMT-2020(5G) Promotion Group.
