At 8 o'clock this morning, a 26-year-old man in Jiangmen was struck by lightning and died on the spot. Due to the increase of thunderstorms in summer, we should pay attention to lightning protection outdoors to avoid electric shock accidents.
Si Qian Town Police Station in Xinhui City, Jiangmen City received an alarm. In the field of Cangpian Village Group in Tiandeng Village, Si Qian Town, a mass fell to the ground. After the ambulance personnel arrived, they found that the injured person (Li, male, 26 years old) had black skin in many places, had no signs of life, and died after clinical diagnosis. The public security department initially determined that the death of the deceased was caused by lightning. At the time of the incident, Li was draining water from the vegetable field.
Outdoor lightning protection
1. In thunderstorm weather, don't stand, squat down to lower the height, and put your feet together to reduce the damage caused by stepping voltage.
2. Don't stand under the big tree, and you can't touch the big tree with your hands, because the wet trunk has become a lightning protection device at this time, and it is best to stay 5 meters away from the big tree.
Don't stay near the water or in the depression. Don't stand near roofs, hilltops or other conductive objects. You should quickly go to a dry room to shelter from the rain. If you can't find a house, go to the nearest mountain or rock to shelter from the rain.
4. Don't stay in the thunderstorm with metal objects. Put metal objects 5 meters away from you. It is not advisable to carry an umbrella or a badminton racket on your shoulder in thunderstorm weather.
5. Wearing rubber shoes when going out in thunderstorm weather can play an insulating role and is not suitable for driving a motorcycle or riding a bike. People are generally not struck by lightning in the car, because the closed metal conductor has good lightning protection function, so be careful not to stick your head and hands out of the window.
