Hefei Science and Technology School of China Academy of Sciences, founded in 1985, is the only national key technical secondary school of China Academy of Sciences with more than 3,000 students. The school is located on the "Science Island". After more than 20 years' efforts, the school has become a secondary specialized school focusing on training mechanical and electrical technicians. The school covers an area of 150 mu, the library has 1 10000 books, and there are nearly 200 kinds of newspapers and magazines in the reading room. There are 16 experimental training rooms for metalworking, locksmith, electrician, welder, electronics, household appliances, computers, etc., which can be used by more than 1000 people to conduct experiments and internships at the same time. Hefei Institute of Science and Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, relying on the talent advantages of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has trained a team of teachers and managers with good professional quality and reasonable structure. Full-time teachers account for 33% of senior titles, 35% of intermediate titles and 67.6% of professional teachers. Based on the success and development of students, the school boldly carried out the reform of curriculum system and teaching methods, highlighted the practical teaching links, and the practical class hours reached more than 60% of the total class hours. Before graduation, all the students participated in the vocational skill appraisal and obtained the corresponding vocational qualification certificates.
