2. Why does my family use more water than others?

People who have this question are mostly judged according to their life experience. With the same population and similar domestic water consumption, the available water consumption is obviously abnormal. According to the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Metrology Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the provisions of the National Metrology Law, water meters used for trade settlement (for calculating water quantity and collecting water charges) must be subject to compulsory verification in accordance with the regulations, and can only be put into use after passing the inspection. Therefore, it is not common for the water meter itself to malfunction, resulting in a large amount of water consumption. So what else is possible? In the actual dispute settlement, toilet leakage and water meter rotation account for the largest proportion.

3. The toilet leaks almost without the naked eye, so will the small water meter measure it?

At present, the metering accuracy of water meters is generally high, which can realize "drip metering". We can imagine that a drop of water (at room temperature, the density of water is about 1.0g/mL, and the volume of a drop of water is about 0.05mL) can make the water meter rotate, not to mention the thin water flow along the inner wall of the toilet. If you feel that the water consumption has increased obviously, see if the plum blossom pointer of the water meter is turning and there is no water. Then close the corner valve of the toilet and have a look. If it does leak, don't take any chances. Fix it quickly.

4. There is no water in the house, and the water leakage has been eliminated, but the pointer of the water meter is still turning. What is the matter?

This phenomenon is called "rotation" of water meter in water industry, which is mainly caused by water pressure pulsation caused by air formed in water supply pipeline for various reasons. It needs to be solved by reasonable and correct pipeline installation or installing check valve in front of water meter.

Can I repair the broken water meter?

The answer is no, the failure of smart water meters needs professional treatment (water meter manufacturers will train property or tap water staff). When the water meter breaks down, the only thing we can do is to repair it. Although it can't be repaired by itself, preventive measures can be taken in advance. Wet smart water meters are afraid of freezing. When installed in the outdoor environment, the glass and sensor will be damaged due to freezing and expansion in the northern winter, so heat preservation measures should be taken in winter. And those installed in high temperature and humid environment should also be protected.

6. How can there be water in the main pipeline and no water in my house?

As mentioned above, the smart water meter has a built-in control unit. After the water meter is in arrears, the valve will automatically close and stop water supply. Many smart water meters on the market have the function of alarm and reminder of arrears. When the remaining amount in the instrument is not greater than the alarm value, the valve will close. At this time, you can open the valve and brush your own user card to continue using it.
