The other seven gears require a half switch on the left side of the shift lever. Each forward gear is divided into a high gear and a low gear by a half gear switch. The combination of high-low switch and half switch forms 14 gear: 4*2+3*2.
14 gear operation summary: the gear switch of the same gear only needs to toggle the half gear switch without moving the gear lever; The high and low gear switches are only used when the range of 4/5 gears changes!
Key points of DT 14 gear operation: You must select the half gear switch and the high and low gear switch in advance before shifting gears. Reason: The switch between the DT 14 gear and the high and low gear is realized by pneumatic shifting of the front and rear auxiliary boxes, and the gear control valve is opened in advance to ensure the smooth gas path.
Grasp the end: Reason: The clutch booster controls the air pump of the cylinder. The whole vehicle is designed to clutch to the end, the air pump is fully open, and the air pressure reaches a certain value to push the transfer switch.
Starting from 1: Standard load and heavy load must start from 1. Reason: the first gear is the starting gear of climbing, including two gears: a low gear and a high gear. If you don't start in the first gear, it is easy to cause premature wear of the clutch plate and damage the clutch plate and synchronizer.
Precautions for operation of DT 1 4 series gearboxes: Do not slide into neutral or out of the engine. Reason: DT 14 gear adopts active lubrication+splash lubrication, and adopts standard water cooling device to lubricate the inside of the gearbox, thus reducing the overall temperature. Idle speed and active lubrication water cooling device stop working in flameout state, which is easy to cause gearbox damage!
When the vehicle needs a trailer due to a fault, the connection between the transmission flange and the transmission shaft must be disconnected. Reason: When the engine is turned off during towing, the connection of the transmission shaft will drive the gears inside the gearbox to rotate, which will lead to dragging back and damage the gears and bearings of the gearbox!
When the vehicle speed is higher than 30km/h, it is strictly prohibited to directly hang into the low gear area from the high gear area. Reason: If the speed is higher than 30km/h, the gearbox will be forced to change from high gear to low gear, which will hurt the gearbox synchronizer!
