Fushun Normal University is a municipal local university approved by the Ministry of Education. The school's predecessor was Fushun College Class of Liaoning University, which was founded in 1978. 1993 changed its name to Fushun normal college.1998 in July, Fushun normal school and Fushun art kindergarten normal school merged into a school.

Liaoning Public Security Judicial Management Cadre College is the only institution of higher learning in the political and legal system that integrates general education, on-the-job police training and police rank promotion training.
