Whenever an actor completes a difficult action, the audience under the stage will exclaim "Wow-",but they don't know how to applaud. They just sat quietly, leaving the actors in no mood for a curtain call. This makes Zhao Yu feel that Shenzhen people are very "rustic". In addition, there was only a rugged loess road from the East Gate to Luohu at that time, which made her feel that the city was "rural".
From 65438 to 0986, she was transferred to Shenzhen Youth Art Troupe (later renamed Youth Art Troupe), and she also brought the "Black Swan" king from Liaoba. Ambitiously preparing for ballet to blossom and bear fruit in this "cultural desert" of Shenzhen.
However, the reality soon shattered Zhao Yu's dream: the Youth Art Troupe was cancelled from 1988, and the ballet dancers were reduced to dancing for pop stars. Zhao Yu once worked as a ballet teacher in the rhythmic gymnastics team of the Sports Commission (later Sports Bureau)-"At least he can touch the edge of ballet."
1990, the upsurge of sports dance rose in Shenzhen. In order to practice one more "technique", Zhao Yu also devoted himself wholeheartedly, took out the energy of hard ballet training in those years, practiced enthusiastically for four years, and boarded the podium of the competition with his partner many times.
1995 Beijing Dance Academy established a ballet grading center to popularize ballet for the whole country. Zhao Yu, who loves ballet, once again sees the opportunity to return to his old job. She and Zheng Dan Lu, a ballet teacher from Shenzhen Art School, were the first people to take the teacher qualification examination in Shenzhen. From 1996, she, Zheng Dan Road, (now a ballet teacher in Shenzhen Art School) and Huang Rulin started the first batch of children's ballet examination training in Shenzhen.
At present, there are more than 100 ballet teachers and dozens of training institutions in Shenzhen, and more and more children are learning ballet.
In 2003, Zhao Yu, who had retired from the Youth Art Troupe, established the "sound of spring" Children's Ballet Company (now renamed Shenzhen Youth Ballet Company) in view of the fact that a group of children who had studied ballet for several years were accumulating in Shenzhen at that time and needed a stage to show themselves. She tried to arrange children's ballet and soon achieved results. In 2004, her team won the gold medal in the international competition in Europe.
Zhao Yu said: "Compared with local residents in earlier years, new immigrants from the mainland generally pay more attention to the quality education of their children, and more and more children are learning ballet. Parents are also willing to pay to send their children abroad to participate in international competitions. After 30 years of reform and opening up, Shenzhen has gradually become an international city, and there are more and more art exchange activities with foreign countries. I now take my children abroad for competitions every year, and we have been to Europe alone for five times. Before the Spring Festival this year, I went to the United States with the 12 actors in the group and other teams in Shenzhen to carry out exchange activities and publicize the spirit of the Universiade. "
Zhao Yu, who is 6 1 year-old this year, is still engaged in the cause of popularizing ballet: "At my age, there is another cause that makes me happy and I am very satisfied. I have all this and must thank the city of Shenzhen. " Zhao Yu said.
But in Zhao Yu's heart, there is still a regret: he failed to set up a professional ballet company in Shenzhen. "That's my lifelong dream, a dream that I'm afraid can't be realized."
