Speaking of Xinyang, many people from other provinces may not have heard of the name of such a city. But Xinyang is also famous for two things, namely a piece of tea and a song.

"One tea" refers to Xinyang Maojian tea, one of the top ten famous teas in China. According to a boss in Xinyang, when he was training in Beijing, he made a bet on the wine table. Someone said something about Xinyang, so he drank a glass of wine. As a result, he only drank a cup of Xinyang Maojian tea. Xinyang's superior climate and soil conditions are the ideal environment for green tea production. The unique flavor of Xinyang Maojian tea is unparalleled because of the hand-made tea technology that has been in the same strain for thousands of years. Cha Sheng Lu Yu listed Gwangju Tea (Xinyang Maojian Tea) as the top tea in his Tea Classic.

And "One Song" is a revolutionary historical song "Osmanthus fragrans Blooming in August" which is popular in China. It was the national anthem to celebrate the establishment of the first county-level Soviet regime of workers and peasants in Henan Province when the Red Army/KLOC-0 captured Shangcheng County in February, 929, and was later sung all over China.

Xinyang is certainly more than these two. Cao Minggui, Dean of School of Economics and Management of Xinyang Normal University, introduced the advantages of Xinyang to the reporter. He said: "Xinyang actually has great room for development and many advantages in location, nature and humanities.
