A trainer is definitely not a lecturer in a university. He simply teaches the course content and helps students master the test-taking skills. Professional trainers are teaching students who have not taken the exam but are taking the exam the knowledge and skills closely related to the work content every day. How can you make adults who are not under test pressure follow you to study actively, and how can you pass on your stored knowledge, skills and experience to them in just one or two days? This is definitely a difficult challenge, which is also the reason why professional trainers belong to high-paying occupations.
To be a trainer, you should have the following "hardware":
1: interest: show interest in interacting with people, not afraid of public speaking and "performance";
2. Inner needs: I hope to become the focus of people's attention and constantly "imagine success"-to become an excellent trainer;
3. Personality: extroverted, enthusiastic, expressive, and likable;
4. Appearance: It is impossible for all people to be handsome and beautiful, but people who are dignified, friendly and know how to dress up are more popular with students;
5. Physical strength: Unlike most academic lecturers who sit and give lectures, professionally trained trainers are used to teaching standing, which is easy to stimulate their own and students' passion. Therefore, 6-7 hours of standing teaching every day requires strong physical support.
In addition, trainers should also have the following qualities and abilities:
1: Strong learning ability. Reading books and watching videos is like washing your face and brushing your teeth. Is a must-do homework every day.
2. Insight, which can not only focus on the training theme, but also combine the students' questions or reactions to give impromptu responses;
3. Insensitive, you can always meet classmates who challenge your "authority". How to reduce frustration and not deny yourself because of students' strong or weak opposition;
4. Professional knowledge and experience in a certain field: education does not mean ability. Many people with excellent academic qualifications are not regarded as competent training lecturers, because they are not good at expressing their knowledge in common language, or "jiaozi can't be found in a teapot". Therefore, most of the popular trainers in the market are "double champions" in a certain field-both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
The Development Path of Professional Trainers
Don't expect to become famous overnight without any effort at any time. If you want to become a professional trainer sought after by the market, you need to go through at least three growth stages:
1: Inner Desire Ignition Period: Lily is currently the general manager of a branch of an insurance company. She has the success that others think, but she is not happy; Last year, I met her in the EDP course of Jiaotong University. After class, she briefly described my professional confusion and expressed her interest in the profession of trainer. After visual observation and some communication, I affirmed her idea and recommended her to participate in the training activities of CIPT professional trainers, attend CIPT courses, be a trainer's teaching assistant, and experience the hardships and happiness of this profession.
2. Learning period: after igniting the inner desire, choose a mature training class to learn to become a trainer. As the saying goes, "what you gain must be lost", the courses that have been systematically certified and repeatedly operated are trustworthy. I'm not sure about those TTT courses with only 2-3 days, because there are at least three major challenges in the process of cultivating freelance trainers: brand building of lecturers, research and development and design of core courses, and lecturer marketing. Obviously, the course capacity of 2-3 days is not enough to cover these three contents, and most TTT courses on the market only teach basic training skills.
3. Apprenticeship: After studying, it doesn't mean that you are a qualified lecturer. The only way to become a professional lecturer is practical training-try to talk about it, start a half-day lecture training according to the topic you selected, and then enrich the courseware according to the feedback of the students, expanding it to 1 day course and then expanding it to 2 days training. Trainers are like drama actors. Only by constantly "performing on stage" can they find their own feelings and understand what "teaching is good for each other"-learning is not enough, and teaching is difficult; You can introspect if you don't know enough, and you can be self-reliant if you are sleepy.
Being a person and achieving something is not as difficult as you think, but you should know yourself-listen to your inner voice. Because success is your deepest desire.
When you want to be a certain kind of person with passion, you will put in 12 efforts. From now on, you will no longer shout "success is a personalized concept", but dig and discover your inner desire-the strongest one!
