The Ministry of Education conducts examination affairs by means of self-taught examination, and supervises the investigation. As a social problem, cheating in examination is becoming more and more complicated and serious in terms of quantity, means and mentality in various examination processes, including self-taught examination, under the influence of the bad atmosphere such as the generalization of trading principles in market economy and the rising concept of quick success and instant benefit. Especially in the future, the contradiction between the rapid expansion of candidates' scale and the serious shortage of trial operation power of the trial operation system is more prominent. Since the 1990s, the size of the examination team for self-study examination has remained at around 3,000, but the examination workload has increased from the initial 2 million candidates to more than 7 million candidates now. The local examination office should fully adapt to the heavy examination work. Objectively speaking, this has brought many difficulties to how to better prevent and stop cheating in exams. Nevertheless, since the implementation of the self-study examination for higher education in the early 1980s, local self-study examination departments at all levels have always attached great importance to serious examination style and discipline, and standardized examination management. In view of cheating or other violations of examination discipline, the National Examination Office, together with the Department of Political Science and Law of the Ministry of Education, has specially formulated the Working Rules for the Administration of Examination Papers in Higher Education Self-taught Examinations and the Measures for Handling Violations in Higher Education Self-taught Examinations. Once it is found and finally determined that candidates have cheated in violation of discipline during the examination, all localities will also hand over those vicious acts that participate in or organize candidates to cheat and are suspected of breaking the law and making meritorious deeds to the relevant judicial organs for disposal. For the test center with bad test style and serious violation of discipline, individual majors will be suspended until the qualification of the test center is revoked. There is a slogan in the self-study exam of higher education, which is very clear: quality is the lifeline of the survival and development of the self-study exam, and its high openness requires it to stick to its credibility and social prestige at a higher starting point. In addition, strict examination discipline and correct examination style also relate to the fairness of candidates' examination process, and some people must not be allowed to cheat in the examination. Judging from the actual examination work in the future, cheating in the exam is not a scourge. Taking the violation statistics in recent years as an example, 1998 shows a downward trend year by year. Of course, the test style can't be simply measured by the percentage of violations, and you can't relax at any time. As far as the current work focus and the next work plan of the Examination Department of the Office of Self-taught Examination of the Ministry of Education are concerned, there are mainly the following parts in enhancing the seriousness of the examination and adhering to a good examination style and discipline: (1) Establish and improve the rules and regulations covering the whole process of the examination, and formulate and improve various codes of conduct for the transportation, invigilation, inspection, marking and grading of examination papers. As long as the specific staff act according to the rules, it is enough to ensure. (2) Strengthen ideological education, pay close attention to the construction of the examination team's own style through various channels such as holding video and telephone conferences, and strictly require examination institutions at all levels to act according to the rules; (3) Implementing computer examination management, taking "standardization, service and controllable quality" as the guiding ideology, minimizing the mistakes caused by human factors and enhancing the objectivity of examination management; (4) set up a national examination supervision team, and employ retired comrades from self-study examination offices at all levels to participate in the supervision and management of examination style in the process of self-study examination; (5) Vigorously promote high-tech means and modern examination management means, such as introducing foreign high-precision scanners to scan candidates' papers and marking papers online during marking.
