Automobile maintenance training teaches you how to change a spare tire.

First, we need to find the location of the spare tire. According to different models, the spare tire is generally placed under the trunk floor; Hanging under the rear of the car; Fixed outside the trunk door.

1. Remove tools. Open the trunk and take out the spare tire and vehicle tools, including jack and wrench.

2. Loosen the bolt on the tire with a wrench. First, loosen counterclockwise and tighten clockwise. Loosen the tire bolts counterclockwise, because the bolts that fix the wheels are screwed tightly, so we can rely on our whole body strength;

3. Set the jack. After loosening the bolts one by one, you can use the jack to partially lift the vehicle. Attention should be paid when using the jack: there are many slots for placing the jack on both sides of the car bottom, so the jack must be placed in the slots to avoid accidents;

4. Remove the tire. After the jack is propped up, the loose bolts can be easily unscrewed in turn, and then the tire can be removed as a whole, which means that the tire disassembly work is successfully completed;

5. Install the spare tire. Before installing the spare tire, it is best to put the removed tire under the car to avoid the accident that the jack is misplaced and causes the car to land three times. The most difficult thing in the installation of spare tire is how to align the spare tire with the wheel fixing bolts. If the car rises too high, it will take a lot of effort to lift the spare tire. It's better to have someone else's help. If it is operated by one person, it is recommended to hold the spare tire with legs or feet to prevent it from shifting.

6. Tighten the tire bolts. Install the spare tire at the bolt or bolt hole, first screw on a bolt, then tighten it once, and finally tighten it slightly with a wrench; When screwing bolts, do not screw bolts clockwise or counterclockwise in turn, but diagonally. For example, there are five bolts to fix the tire. Let's tighten four bolts diagonally first, and then tighten the fifth bolt. When tightening bolts, it is best to keep the number of turns of each bolt consistent to ensure the uniform stress on the bolts.

7. Loosen the jack and remove it. After the five bolts are screwed on, we can remove the jack (and the tire under the car) and let the car return to the ground.

8. Tighten the screws. After that, tighten each bolt according to the physical strength when removing the tire, also diagonally. After tightening in turn, the replacement of the spare tire can be declared complete.

9. done. Put the tools away, put them back in the trunk and put the tires back.
