"Fire fighting" means eliminating hidden dangers and preventing disasters (that is, preventing and solving man-made and natural and unexpected disasters that people encounter in the process of life, work and study). Of course, in the early days of people's understanding, the narrow sense means: (put out) fire.
It mainly includes the rescue of fire scene personnel, the rescue of important facilities, equipment and cultural relics, the protection and rescue of important property, and the fire fighting.
The purpose is to reduce the degree of damage caused by fire, reduce casualties and property losses. In wartime, the people's air defense headquarters at all levels shall be under unified command, with professional fire fighting forces as the backbone, and full-time fire brigades, volunteer teams, enterprises, institutions and urban people shall be mobilized for implementation.
Fire fighting actions mainly include:
(1) Find out the fire and loss, and know the terrain, wind direction, structure of burning building, entrances and exits, trapped people, etc.
(2) Conduct on-site command, organize forces to rush to the fire site quickly, select fire extinguishing agents and fire extinguishing equipment according to the nature of the fire, and correctly use fire extinguishing tactics according to the situation of the fire site. The main methods are fire prevention, setting fire isolation belt, blocking fire path, extinguishing residual fire, guarding fire site and so on.
(3) Quickly rescue the trapped people and transfer and send away the injured.
(4) Evacuate or isolate dangerous goods near the fire site in time to prevent secondary disasters. Water and chemical extinguishing agents are used to extinguish the fire, and fire engines, fire extinguishers, electric pumps and other equipment are used to extinguish the fire. Adhere to the principle of easy before difficult, control before destruction, and ensure key points.
