SP refers to standardized patients, also known as simulated patients. Standardized patients refer to normal people or patients who have undergone standardized and systematic training and can accurately show the actual clinical problems of patients. Different from other complete testing methods, SP itself is not an independent testing method, but it is usually a part of many clinical ability evaluation methods.
SP's job is to simulate and play the patient: SP's job is to play the patient according to the script under the condition of simulating real medical treatment. He (she) should not only deeply understand the role, but also imitate the patient's expression, movements and emotions. In the simulated clinic, students who play the role of doctors will interview SP and/or have a physical examination.
