Zhuzhou Normal University is an ordinary normal college under the Hunan Provincial Department of Education. Its predecessor was Zhuzhou Teachers College, which was founded in 1958. It is located in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, the largest railway transportation hub city in the south of China. The school is divided into east and west courtyards, covering an area of more than 530 mu, with a building area of 1.86 million square meters.
In 2006, Zhuzhou Teachers College was merged into Hunan University of Technology, and the original teachers college campus was demolished.
In 2020, Zhuzhou Teachers College was re-established with Zhuzhou Teachers College as the main body. The new campus of the school is located in Zhuzhou Vocational Education Science and Technology Park, with an area of 198.86 mu and a building area of107,000 square meters.
