How can we test whether drinking water meets the standard?
As a novice, where can I test the water? Can you tell the quality of water at a glance?

But the quality of water quality needs data to speak, which is the most accurate. Because even if the water quality is poor, fish will not show discomfort or illness immediately, and all indicators are chronic toxicity. When you find that the fish is sick or has problems, the water quality has exceeded the standard for more than three days.

Test result analysis

The answer to each index result

First, ammonia nitrogen >; nitrite

Test results: ammonia nitrogen exceeds the standard or has a medium concentration. (There are five squares on the comparison card, and the middle one is medium), and the nitrite concentration is low.

The results show that there are a large number of bacteria decomposing garbage in the physical filtration process. It can decompose ammonia nitrogen, but there are not enough nitrifying bacteria to convert a lot of ammonia nitrogen into nitrite. It is proved that nitrifying bacteria are insufficient in filtration.

Second, ammonia nitrogen

Test results: When ammonia nitrogen is slight, the nitrate concentration is high or moderately high.

The results showed that the primary transformation of nitrifying bacteria was sufficient and the secondary transformation was insufficient.

Note: The above two tests can determine whether your water quality needs to be changed and nitrifying bacteria added. If the detected ammonia nitrogen and nitrite are very low, at least it proves that the toxic content in the filter element is very low and will not affect the fish.

Third, pH value and hardness.

On the numerical definition of PH

The PH value is between 6.5 and 7.5, indicating that the water treatment is neutral.

The PH value is 6.5~5, indicating that the water quality is weakly acidic.

The PH value is between 7.5 and 8, indicating that the water quality is weakly alkaline.

The PH value shows higher than 8, which means alkaline water. When the PH value is lower than 5, it represents acidic water.

Numerical definition of total hardness

Hardness expressed by calcium carbonate concentration can be roughly divided into:

0~75mg/L? Extremely soft water

75~ 150mg/L? soft water

150~300mg/L? Medium hard water

300~450mg/L? hard water

450~700mg/L? High hard water

700~ 1000mg/L? Super hard water

& gt 1000mg/L? Super hard water

Fourth, residual chlorine.

Test results: After 2 days of trapping, residual chlorine was found to be 0.

The results show that your tap water can only be changed after being trapped for 2 days.

Solution: If you haven't been trapped long enough and there is still a trace of chlorine, you can't change the water. The retention time can be obtained by checking the residual chlorine.

Where can I detect water?

Summary: Generally, you just want to know the water quality. It is enough to test ammonia nitrogen and nitrite. If the wallet is not fat, I suggest buying these two kinds. If you want to know whether the filtration is sound and stable, you can add a nitrate test. Other pH, hardness and residual chlorine are all dispensable things.
