According to the spirit of the Minutes of the Special Meeting of Shiyan Municipal People's Government on Issues Related to the Merger of City Computer School and Dongfeng Vocational and Technical School and the Notice of the Provincial Department of Education on Agreeing to Establish Shiyan Senior Vocational School, Shiyan Computer School and Dongfeng Vocational and Technical School merged to establish Shiyan Senior Vocational School. 20 18 was designated as "National Model School for the Reform and Development of Secondary Vocational Education" by the Ministry of Education on September 27th.
The original Shiyan Computer Technology School was founded in 1984. It is a full-time secondary specialized school sponsored by Shiyan Municipal Government and headed by the Municipal Education Bureau. It is the first batch of national key secondary vocational schools evaluated by the Ministry of Education, the designated training point and test center of the national computer grade examination, and the "Computer Information Technology Examination Station (OSTA)" recognized by the Vocational Skills Appraisal Administration of the Ministry of Labor.
It is the computer training base of Shiyan national civil servants and professional technicians, and the information technology training center of primary and secondary school teachers in the city. The former Shiyan Dongfeng Vocational and Technical School is a 1994 general secondary school approved by Hubei Provincial Education Commission. In May 2000, it was awarded "the first batch of national key schools" by the Ministry of Education.
