The difference between ket and pet in Cambridge English
The differences between ket and pet in Cambridge English are: system level, vocabulary, test difficulty, study duration and applicants.

1, system level. KET belongs to Cambridge General English Level 1 and is a basic English proficiency certification. PET belongs to Cambridge general English level 2 and is an intermediate English proficiency certification.

2. vocabulary. In terms of vocabulary, KET requires a vocabulary of 1500, while PET requires a vocabulary of up to 3500. After passing KET, it is equivalent to Grade 3-5 in international schools, Grade A2 in European Modern Language Teaching Syllabus, Grade 6-7 in PET, and Grade B 1.

3. Test difficulty. The higher the grade, the more difficult the exam is. For example, the writing part of KET only needs more than 35 words, while the writing part of PET needs 100 words, which is three times that of KET.

4. Duration of study and applicants. Because of the different difficulties, KET suggested 90 hours of study, and PET suggested 120 hours. KET students are mainly in the third and fourth grades, while PET students are mostly in the fifth and sixth grades, usually students with a certain English foundation.
