"Ten Scenes of West Lake" refers to the famous scenic spot West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province and its surrounding ten characteristic landscapes. The Ten Scenes of the West Lake were formed in the Southern Song Dynasty, basically distributed around the West Lake, and some scenic spots were located on the lake. The ten scenic spots of the West Lake, each with its own strong points, together can represent the essence of the scenic spots of the ancient West Lake. Therefore, both Hangzhou locals and foreign tourists enjoy it and swim first.
Su causeway
Located in the western waters of West Lake, about 500 meters west of the lake, with an area of about 100 hectare. In the fifth year of Yuan You in the Northern Song Dynasty (1090), Su Shi, a famous scholar, piled up the silt dug out during the dredging of the West Lake into a north-south long dike. There are six bridges on the dike, which are named Yingbo Bridge, Suolan Bridge, Wangshan Bridge, Modi Bridge, Dongpu Bridge and Crossing Hongqiao from south to north. Later generations named this dike "Su Causeway" in memory of Su Shi. Su Causeway is the only channel connecting the north and south banks across the lake, running through the whole West Lake waters. Therefore, it has the most complete horizon in Su Causeway and is the best place to enjoy the whole lake landscape. Stop at the Yubei Pavilion in the south of Diqiao, and you can see picturesque lakes and mountains.
Since the dike was built in Su Causeway in the Northern Song Dynasty, it has maintained the plant landscape characteristics of alternately planting peach trees and weeping willows along both sides of the dike. The dawn of spring is the best time to enjoy "Spring Dawn in Su Causeway". At this time, it is foggy, weeping willows are green, and peach blossoms are in full bloom, showing the beautiful and charming temperament of the West Lake.
Breweries and lotus ponds in summer
Located 22 meters west of the northern end of Su Causeway on the north shore of West Lake, it covers an area of about hectares. With the theme of lotus viewing in summer, the characteristics of "infinite blue lotus leaves and different colors of lotus flowers" are intuitively displayed.
Qu Yuan, originally a workshop for brewing official liquor in Hongchunqiao in Southern Song Dynasty (1 127- 1279), took water from Jinsha River to brew official liquor. So there are many lotus flowers everywhere. Whenever the lotus flowers are in full bloom in summer, the bouquet of the lotus flowers is Xu Lai. The lotus flowers are overflowing, and there is an artistic conception of "warm wind makes tourists drunk".
In the silver moonlight
Located in the lakeside area at the southeast corner of Gushan Mountain, south of the western end of Bai Causeway, it is one of the best places for Hubei Province to enjoy the panoramic view of West Lake waters from the lake. The theme is to see the moonlight of the lake in the autumn night with the bright moon in the sky.
The "Autumn Moon in Pinghu" landscape completely retains the courtyard layout of "one courtyard, one monument, one floor and one pavilion" when the royal family demarcated the West Lake in the Qing Dynasty (17-18th century).
Broken bridge snow
Located in the broken bridge area at the eastern end of Bai Causeway in the north of West Lake, it covers an area of about hectares. Especially in winter, it is best to see the snow scene of the West Lake. When it snows in the West Lake in Chu Qing, the sun is shining, and the snow melts in the sunny half of the broken bridge deck, revealing a trace on the brown bridge deck, as if a long white chain broke here, showing the scene of "broken bridge due to snow".
Broken Bridge, located at the eastern end of Bai Causeway, has a wide view. This is the best place to fully appreciate the landscape of the western and northern waters. Because White Snake, the hero of China's famous folk love story, met Xu Xian here, and Broken Bridge became the most famous bridge with symbolic meaning of love. Because Bai Causeway has always maintained the vegetation characteristics of planting peach willows along both sides of the embankment, peach willows are full of spring and tourists are weaving.
Huagang fish watching
Su Causeway Yingbo Bridge is about 0/97m northwest/kloc-between Xiaonan Lake and Xili Lake, covering an area of about hectares. Enjoy the landscape with flowers and fish as the theme and experience the vitality of nature. In spring, the fallen trees are colorful, showing a beautiful scene of "flowers have fish bodies and fish have flowers".
"Flower Harbor Watching Fish" is located in the villa of Lu Yunsheng, an official of the Southern Song Dynasty (12-13rd century). It is called "Flower Harbor Watching Fish" because its location is called Flower Harbor, and the fish are raised in a pond. Existing landscape units include monuments, pavilions, fish ponds, rockeries and other sites.
The oriole in the willow forest
On the east bank of the West Lake, the front pool of Wang Qian Memorial Hall is about 50 meters to the north, and the area around the lake is about hectares, with the theme of enjoying the forest landscape of Liuhu Lake.
The location of "Liu Lang Wen Ying" was once the royal garden "Ju Jing Garden" in the Southern Song Dynasty (12-13rd century). Because there are many willows in the garden, the wind blows and the waves beat, and the warbler sounds euphemistically, so it is named "Liu Lang Wen Ying". Today, "Liu Lang Wen Ying" still retains the traditional Liulin characteristics. Wandering in the meantime, listening while walking, willow blowing on the face, singing and dancing, is a vibrant scene.
three pools mirroring the moon
It is the most iconic landscape of West Lake in Hangzhou, covering an area of about hectares. It is located in Zhou Xiaoying Island in the southwest of West Lake and some waters in the south of the island. The three pagodas in the water and Zhou Xiaoying Island are the core ornamental elements of the landscape, and the mutual reflection of the moon, pagodas and lakes on the island at the foot of the mountain is the appreciation theme, which makes people think.
Zhouxiao Island was formed by digging a lake and piling up soil during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (16th century), showing a "field" pattern of "there is an island in the lake and a lake in the island", which is a classic of water town gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. The pavilions and traditional flowers and trees on the island constitute a colorful landscape painting, which is the symbol of Penglai Fairy Island in ancient China mythology.
Shuangfeng chayun scenic spot
It consists of two peaks in the west of the West Lake and scenic spots near the Hongchun Bridge in the northwest corner of the West Lake, with the theme of enjoying the misty landscape around the West Lake.
There are two peaks in the north and south of the West Lake, one in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Looking at two peaks on a sunny day in spring and autumn, you can see two towers far apart, standing tall and magnificent. Whenever the clouds are filled, the spire is hidden and visible in the clouds, as if it were a Buddhist kingdom in the sky.
Lei Xi
It is located in the mountainous area of Zhao Qian on the south bank of West Lake, covering an area of about hectares, and features the outline of ancient pagodas at dusk.
The most important architectural element in the landscape is Leifeng Pagoda, which was built in wuyue (977). After the tower was destroyed, it was preserved as a site in the Republic of China (1924). It once formed the opposing landscape on the north and south sides of the West Lake with Baochao Tower, which proved that the prosperity of Buddhist culture had a direct impact on the landscape of the West Lake. The Leifeng Pagoda is also a symbol of love loyalty, because the legend of the White Snake, one of the four folk love stories in China, has endowed the West Lake with rich historical connotations. In 2002, in order to prevent the site from being eroded by wind and rain, a protective tower was built in the form of the original tower, which restored the landscape of the ancient pagoda itself and the pagoda opposite.
Nanping wanzhong scenic spot
Nanping Mountain, located on the south bank of the West Lake, covers an area of about hectares and is characterized by the aesthetic conception of Jingci Temple bells ringing on the lake at the foot of Nanping Mountain.
Landscape is a Buddhist cultural relic, characterized by auditory appreciation. Since the Five Dynasties (10 century), the foot of Nanping Mountain has been a Buddhist resort of "Southeast Buddhism". Jingci Temple, which was founded in 954 AD, has become one of the two Buddhist Dojo alongside Lingyin Temple in the north and south of West Lake. Whenever the bell of the Buddhist temple rings at night, the oscillation frequency of the bell will spread to the rocks and caves on the mountain, forming a melodious and resonant bell. Today, it has become the place where Hang Cheng rings the bell on New Year's Eve.
