The School of History has a deep historical relationship with Lingnan University, which was founded more than 20 years ago. 1888, American friendly people founded Lingnan University in Guangzhou, and 1927 was owned by China people. 1952, during the adjustment of national departments, the relevant departments of Lingnan University were merged into Sun Yat-sen University and other institutions of higher learning. 1988, on the occasion of the centenary of Lingnan University, the State Education Commission announced the approval of the establishment of Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University.
