On the morning of May 9th, the 2022 National Training Course on Placement and Management of Venous Access Devices and the 14 PICC Catheter Certification Training Course officially started in Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. This training was conducted online and offline, attracting more than 100 students from 17 provinces and more than 70 medical units, as well as nursing backbones such as venous therapy liaison officers and PICC specialist nurses from various nursing units in our hospital. The number of online live broadcasts reached more than 2,000.

? Director Yue fully affirmed the great progress and achievements made by the electrostatic treatment team in our hospital in recent years. She expressed the hope that through this exchange and study, all the students can constantly improve themselves in the field of specialist static therapy, become the backbone of hospital static therapy, contribute their own strength to the development of intravenous therapy industry in our province and even the whole country, lead the reform of intravenous therapy specialty, promote the vigorous development of static therapy specialty, and contribute their own strength to the construction of healthy China.

Vice President Chen pointed out that our hospital, as one of the earliest hospitals in China to carry out PICC catheterization and infusion port implantation technology, has formed a practice and management model of intravenous therapy with Xiangya characteristics through unremitting exploration and innovation. I hope that the students will gain something in the next training, and apply what they have learned to clinical work to protect the infusion safety of patients.

? Deputy Director Li Jun said that the qualification training course of PICC Catheter in Xiangya Hospital has been successfully held 13, forming a training mode with Xiangya characteristics. All students will complete the three-stage training and assessment of "theory-model-clinic", and those who pass the assessment in each stage will be awarded the corresponding PICC catheterization and maintenance qualification certificates. In clinical practice, one-on-one teaching between tutors and students, face-to-face discussion between experts and students, and post-graduation WeChat group exchange guidance can all be retained. If there are problems, teachers can give timely guidance to ensure that every student can learn something and grow into a clinical nursing expert as soon as possible.
